TUWC & OEF team up to host cleanup day!

Turkey Mountain Cleanup Day

Please Join Us! We would love your help with some fun and easy winter cleanup, all you need to do is show up with a positive attitude and a little energy to give back to Turkey Mountain. All ages and skill levels welcome.

We are anticipating a high turn out and parking will be at a premium. Please carpool when available and please DO NOT park at the church across the street.

Volunteers will gather at the Turkey Mountain Urban Wilderness trailhead parking lot to then hike into the park to pick up litter and prune vegetation that obstructs hikers, runners and cyclists who may be on the trails.

Please bring the following: a personal water bottle (jugs of water will be provided), a picnic lunch, work gloves and pruners / loppers (clearly identifiable as your own) if you have them!

Company unveils new details for outlet mall near Turkey Mountain

The Tulsa Premium Outlets project is one of three upscale outlet malls that have been announced recently, although all would be competing for some of the same retailers to commit to a property before ground is broken, city officials said.

Another mall inside Tulsa’s city limits is planned for construction at 129th East Avenue and Interstate 44 and is being developed by Horizon Group Properties.

The Cherokee Nation is also planning a development near the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Catoosa.

City officials have said tax increment finance districts are being considered to fund infrastructure needs for the two projects in Tulsa.

Outlet mall proposal in west Tulsa; Announcement Friday at 10 a.m.

The Simon Group project is just one of the recent proposals in the works for an outlet mall in Tulsa County.

The second project we’ve told you about include the Horizon Group’s project in east Tulsa The Horizon proposal would create a 90-store outlet mall, bringing $120-million in sales each year, while creating 1,200 permanent jobs. The third proposal comes from the Cherokee Outlet group.
