Have you seen these beetles on Turkey Mountain?
The American Burying Beetle is on the Endangered Species list, and has been reported in five US states, including Oklahoma. A Google search turns up tons of reading, and it appears to me that this is a real possibility. Defenders.org explains the Endangers Species Act and the ABB.

Outlet mall proposal spurs new coalition to give voice to Turkey Mountain users
The coalition represents a wide variety of stances. There are people who are against all development on Turkey Mountain, Neal said, and some who recognize that property owners have rights as long as they go through proper channels. As such, the group doesn’t have an official position on the proposed outlet mall.
