Developers of outlet mall near Turkey Mountain to make plans public Friday

Once retailers are in place and designs are nearly completed, Bird said, the city would require several months to approach all the entities that would be affected by a TIF district to then campaign for the project.

“Right now, it’s getting down to what that need is, what the gap is and what the costs are going to be,” Bird said. “You won’t see either of these (malls) in the next year.”

Developer Unveils Details About West Tulsa Outlet Mall Plan

City Councilor Jeannie Cue likes the look of the place and the idea of a new source of sales tax.

“In my area, we have a lot of people from McAlester, Okmulgee, Bartlesville that come in to shop and we need those tax dollars for the growth and development of our city,” she said.

The project will be built in two phases. The first phase of the build out will be approximately 318,000 square feet and an additional 82,000 square feet will make up the second phase for a total of 400,000 square feet.
